Rotaract Across the World

50 years ago, the first Rotaract club was formed to give young adults a place to connect and take action for good. Rotaract members from each decade share what the program was like and how it shaped their lives.

UNITED STATES

“It seems like a stereotypical bad neighborhood,” says Tony Brazell, past president of Jacksonville’s First Coast Rotaract Club. But get to know it and its residents – as he and other Rotaractors are doing in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Jacksonville (also known as HabiJax) – and the view changes. 

SRI LANKA

The Rotaract Club of the University of Moratuwa club helped open a library for their local school and helped students prepare for college entrance exams and careers. They also assisted with the infrastructure by building bridges between neighborhoods to link them together to combat the heavy floods during the rainy seasons.

UGANDA

The Rotaract Club of Bugolobi worked alongside local doctors, schools, and the Uganda Health Marketing Group to provide everything from school supplies to comprehensive medical screenings, dental exams, and HIV testing and prevention education to over 1,000 residents of a nearby village.

Join the global movement of young leaders who are developing innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. Rotaract in Arizona is comprised of young professionals ages 18+ that meet regularly to exchange ideas, plan activities, do service projects, and make lasting connections.

More specifically, Rotaract clubs are part of a global network of the largest service organization in the world. Our service efforts start at the community level but knows no limits in its outreach. Rotaractors have access to the many resources of Rotary International (RI) and The Rotary Foundation. The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men and women (18+) to enhance the skills that will assist in personal development, to address the needs of their local communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through international service.

If you are interested in helping the community, we create local projects and help with other non-governmental organizations. If you are interested in making new friends, our friendly members hold social events. If you are interested in professional development, we offer conferences and attend international conferences. If you are interested in opportunities to travel abroad, our international projects will take you all over the world to volunteer with other similar-minded Rotaractors from the world-wide Rotaract network. Rotaract will provide you with the chance to change the world!
